STEFAN BURGHILA IS A LONDON-BASED JOURNALIST AND A THIRD-YEAR JOURNALISM STUDENT AT LONDON SOUTH BANK UNIVERSITY, EXPECTED TO GRADUATE IN MAY 2023.

Stefan has done Work Experience with different types of News Organisations, from newspapers to radio. In 2022, he contributed to Councillor Election of Southwark coverage for Southwark News. It included filming with a camera and covering the producer role during the Councillors’ interviews.

Maritime Radio has also represented an essential step for Stefan. Being informed and passionate about sports, he had the role of Sports News Presenter at 4:30 PM on Friday and 2:00 PM on Saturday.

Stefan is the Social Media Content Creator for a non-profit organisation, Penya Blaugrana London, an Official Supporters’ Club of FC Barcelona. He is on the way to releasing his mini-documentary about the organisation mentioned, as a part of his final project for London South Bank University.

Stefan was enthusiastic about content creation and contributed to his university practice modules, JLDN Live News Shows. He mainly had the role of Reporter, filming, editing and creating VT Packages, which went broadcast on the ‘Journalism London’ YouTube Channel. He interviewed people from all areas: Ukrainian politicians or BBC Producers to Football Analysts or Experts in Microbiology.

However, Stefan is a young journalist trying to progress in every area of Journalism and Media. During the practice modules, named ‘Newsdays’, he had several times the role of: Producer (TV and Radio), Director, Camera Man and Editor.

Living in London, Stefan is originally from the Republic of Moldova, contributing to his knowledge of English, Moldovan, Romanian and Russian.
